    Nice fabric, stylish sleeves but that hood though is a complete fail IMHO. It's a poor design that's just uncomfortable and weird looking. Western Rise would have been better off using the same pattern as the Airloft which as a great hood. I have no idea what they were going for with this hood design. It looks like wearing a nappy on your head or one of those thin zip-away hoods that go back into the collar. While the pocket in the back is nice for stashing stuff, the whole bag idea is unnecessary given that the target community, I'd wager, would already carry a sling. Also, you feel it as you walk around.

    • @PackingLess
      @PackingLess 12 часов назад

      Very good points, a zip off hood and maybe making it overall lighter so it could stash into a pocket rather than a bag would be good

    Im torn between zip pouch pro and zip cardholder. What i like about the zip cardholder is the bigger dimension in the back external slot. Question is, can it fit a chunky edc gear on it like leatherman skeletool or swiss army? Cuz based on the alpaka description of the zip carholder the back external slot can fit 2 cards only (max). Can you help me out guys. Thank you

    • @PackingLess

      I think it might fit that but you might loose a little internal capacity as the tool would bulge into the main part

    I got mine today and holding down the rear switch from off does not go into moonlight mode. It just turns on the spotlight and cycles through the different brightness levels as if I did one click and then held the rear button.

    • @PackingLess
      @PackingLess 11 дней назад

      Interesting, mine definitely does go into moonlight when I hold it

    • @MrWhaatay
      @MrWhaatay 11 дней назад

      @@PackingLess Thank you for letting me know. I never use moonlight mode so it's not a big deal. I did notice lazy programming in the water droplet mode. It will show 4 or 5 droplets of the same color before transitioning to the next color except for red, green, and blue. It just shows one drop of those. Most notable with red. I have a Sofirn flashlight that does the same thing so looks like one lazy programmer did it. These flashlights are probably all made in one factory for the different companies.

    • @MrWhaatay
      @MrWhaatay 11 дней назад

      @@PackingLess It appears I have made an ass out of myself. When holding the switch down it does come on in moonlight mode at which point I am supposed to let go of the switch. If I don't it cycles through moonlight, low, medium, and high. I assumed moonlight mode was a momentary mode that required holding the switch as long as you want moonlight mode on. When I do the normal one click and then hold the switch down it only cycles through low, medium, and high.

    Wondering: 1. Which size laptop can fit the water bladder pouch/ or generally in the bag? 2.If there are packable light backpacks that do block rain for longer time.... [the Osprey ones might do, but they seem like a big nylon bag, zero cushioning to support what you store inside]
